YOUNG CARERS

Support groups

Do you currently attend a Carers Support Group? If not, you might find a real benefit from meeting with others who understand the ups and downs of being a Carer, plus the chance to enjoy a programme of speakers, activities and outings.

Carers Group1

In addition, our Carers Advisors actively support the following groups. If you find the thought of going to a meeting on your own a bit too challenging, the Carers Advisor who looks after the area where you live can accompany you for that first visit. Once there, you will find plenty of friendly faces and a warm welcome.

Groups currently supported by the Carers Forum are Stalham, Acle & District, Norwich, Wells & District, Aylsham, Fakenham, Broadland & District, Long Stratton, Thetford, Diss, Poringland, Hopton and Gt Yarmouth.

For details of meeting dates and times contact us on 01603 219924.

Carers Week 2007

Carers Week 2007 took place from 11 - 17 June to highlight the true impact being a carer can have on everyday life. Coping with the pressures of every day life can be a challenge for most people, but this is especially the case for the UKs six million carers who have dedicated their lives to caring for a loved one. Numerous events and activities take place during Carers Week to help raise awareness.

Carers week 2008 will be held during 9th - 14th June.
